The batteries typically last for several months, depending on how often you ride. The Bicycle Wheel Flashers automatically activate with movement and will automatically turn off a few seconds after stopping, so the battery is saved when the bike is not in use!

The batteries are easily replaced when they do go flat.

Bicycle Wheel Flashers will also fit car wheels but may not comply with road rules for powered vehicles. Of course you can use them "Off Road"...
